"Someone" to remember!!

Writing this is more like a home coming feeling, a thing which you love and you have been away from it for long and finally you are doing it again, quenching your thirst. Today morning a salesman was roaming from one house to another and even knocked at my door, to sell something, even though I declined and he went ahead to do his job, his thought has not left my mind till now and that is the reason I’m writing this.

We come across so many people consciously or subconsciously, for purpose or without any purpose, who leave an impact on our minds, they may be our friends, family, acquaintance or even a person as strange as somebody we see on the traffic signal or a salesman we come across in our daily lives. They don’t talk to us or we don’t even meet them again but they are some of whom our mind does not forget. I often wonder why do we remember only them? I mean why we need to keep them in mind, when we have not even talked to them, but deep inside each one of us think about them or remember them at some point of time in our walk of life.

May be this subconscious memory of us is helping us to be a good human being! Or simply our mind thinks about them and then we change a certain habit of ours forever, like for example, I saw this salesman in the morning, I had no other conversation than just a polite no, but still he has been there in my mind and that triggered me to write this. He made me think that he has been roaming in this scorching heat of 40 degrees at noon, just to earn his bread and here I am lucky enough, sitting in the cooler and getting an ample meal. Every person inspires another person, one does not need to be a superhuman or a big industrialist or a famous personality, even a small child helping an old lady cross the road can teach us some deepest lessons of life. And this is what is the beauty of human nature!!

Reading between the "colors"!!

From many days my mind was mingling around the issue but was searching for a right boost and that’s when Kangana Ranaut brought this topic in limelight by refusing an advertisement offer of whooping ₹2 crores for a fairness cream. It just acted as a proper boost to write. The netizens have welcomed the actress’s move, but, fairness still remains a big parameter in the great INDIAN society! Even though we are progressing towards a global facelift, we often read in the matrimonial ads seeking an educated urban FAIR bride, even though the prospective groom is not so fair. What an irony! We often find the parents tensed about the marriage of a girl who is not fair. I agree we are changing but this change is very slow and meagre and often affected by the epidemic “log kya kahenge?” (What will people say?)especially when a fair boy wants to marry a not so fair girl. How hypocrite of us??

Talking about the Indian subcontinent basically it’s our genetic makeup that gives us a wheatish or a non-fair complexion. Then how can, by applying the so called fairness creams the skin color will change? Why are we so obsessed with fairness? Don’t we love Chitrangada Singh or Lisa Hyden? These actresses have won the hearts all over the world with their wheatish skin. One of these ads over the television brags that fairness is necessary for the confidence! No!! Who says fairness gives confidence? We all have seen people with wheatish or dark complexion who have become successful in their lives. You don’t need to be fair to look confident neither for a person to fall for you! The person who is able to see your beautiful soul will befriend you irrespective of your complexion and whoever will be able to see your inner self which the rest world fails to, is the one for whom its worth to fall for!!The inner fairness is the one which matters. Beauty has no parameter! Beauty is not about how fair one looks. Every person is beautiful. It’s just the matter of how beautifully one caries his or her personality in front of the world. It is the aura and the strength of his characters which makes him magnetic. And automatically it is his charisma which makes him a candy for an eye!!

It’s not just the ads or us Indians who are plagued with this fair skin disorder, even the west has had vast history of racism. It’s the question again, how can we use the color of the skin, to judge a person? Actually it is the pigment called melanin which is to be blamed for. And looking for the nonsense ads over the television, we Indians are inspired with all these stuff. But why can’t we take any inspiration from the fairness which is inside a person rather than a skin color?  Nobody can change his or her color, it’s natural and will remain all your life. As I mentioned earlier, we are bringing a pragmatic approach in our views. Today’s world has gone far ahead of these taboos. We young citizens need to walk with this changing pace. So let’s make an effort to bring this change in us and the society so that, next time when an educated, so called modern boy denies a marriage proposal of a girl, just because of her complexion, let's make him realise his moderness is only confined to branded clothes and cars, his thoughts are still obsolete.
We humans have a pair of eyes, a pair of ears, one nose, one mouth and most importantly one HEART!! It’s the fairness of heart and the mind which matters the most!! A beautiful quote to end with “Beneath the armor of skin and bone and mind, most of our colors are amazingly the same!!”
Happy Reading!! J

Tangled 20’s

Finally writing something after a very very long span, maybe I was lazy to think of writing something or maybe the mind was still unsure about what to write....What? Why? Where? Who? Why do we get these questions?? Again this is one question. We always try to find an answer to one such question and come up with another question...strange isn't it?? (Again a question)This life is full of questions, quest to find the answers, desire to get it perfectly.
Desire...what can be the definition of desire. As I believe that desire is an absolute thing and differs from person to person. It can be anything which I covet, can be unwanted by another. How varying are our aspirations and also our situations??(Question again) Many times life gets us in a fix when we cannot decide what's right and what's wrong. That time we always desire to be on the right side but, its the situation that makes us or our desires wrong. And then there is guilt, loads of guilt and dissatisfaction of having done something undesired. This dissatisfaction and guilt gives rise to more questions ohh God!!  Why me?? What if?? And then there is brainstorming, thinking and sinking in thoughts. These thoughts go on hovering over our mind and takes a complete control of us. We eventually become completely unaware of our good side and go on sinking and get drenched in the negativity whose source is none other than our mind. Our thoughts are the one which can make or break us.
From the desire to rise, or our fall...thoughts are the one which design our persona, gives us an identity and give the strength to deal with the infinite interrogations that are ever ready to come in our journey of self search and then its upto us to whether let these thoughts and desires make us or break us!!!

Here I remember a very amazing quote by Swami Vivekananda,
"We are what our thoughts have made us; so take care about what you think. Words are secondary. Thoughts live; they travel far."
Hence thinking is never a mistake so is overthinking, what we need to decide is the span and the direction to it. So guys stay calm and think awesome!!!

Malaise speaks...

When the whole of India was basking in the victory of new formed government and chanting 'acche din aa gae hai' (happy days have come). There came news from two different parts of the country which sent shivers down the spine and made me doubt whether happy days have actually come for children and women???
First news was from Maharashtra, where a gruesome act was brought into light by a kid. The shelter home's owner and his lady assistant made the children aged 5-15 watch the pornographic films, perform the acts and if they refused were forced to eat the excreta. When I heard this news ,I was  shocked. Suddenly I found my mind was flooded with angry thoughts. Are these people out of their minds??? Why are these innocent children shown the inhuman face of the humans??? This was such a disturbing incident.
Today this person's heinous crime is exposed to the world. But there are more such monsters roaming in our society wearing the mask of a responsible citizen. It is a real shame for us who call ourselves literate and responsible.
The Indian judiciary has made so many laws to prevent such acts, but its execution is hardly done, the accussed finds some or other loopholes to escape the punishment and then we say that 'Iss desh ka kuch nahi hone wala'(this country cannot change) ,we are the one to ignore the primary stages of the situation and then when the jet is out of its runway we stand first to blame the authorities. If this is our state of mind, how can we go beyond 'iss desh ka kuch nai hone wala' and moreover when a person is trying to change it, people either pull him down or disown him from the society. We will have to grow up from the old prejudices and speak out if we want the future to be safe, secure and harmonious.
And another no different news was from Uttar Pradesh where 2 minor girls were cold bloodedly raped and murdered. Instead of investigating and taking accused into the custody our politicians are more interested in the blame game. It was brought into notice by the vernacular media and this incidence has also built some pressure on the government (as usual) but in spite of establishing the fast track courts for these atrocities on women ,there are no fast track trails and hearings of these cases. Moreover lack of execution of capital punishment have made the chauvinist male more fearless.
Being a girl I feel, even if we are getting more modern and moving towards globalization we still have that strata in our society (which also includes few politicians) who say , 'ladke hai kabhi kabhi galti ho jati hai '(sometimes such mistakes occur as the boys are young). This is an irksome statement ,if the boys can't control their feelings , why should I being a girl live with constant fear??? The motive of the news about the rapes is actually to make people vigilant about the crime but on the contrary it acts as a stimulant in provoking the devil's minds.

It's high time now, when we've seen Nirbhaya, the Mumbai case and many other, let's bring the these degraded minds and turn them into the productive one's for the society. With this we will also need the callous system and the people like you and me to act responsibly and think at least once before ignoring, because this time it was them ,next turn can be mine or of a daughter, a sister,a friend, of a MAN.....

Surrogacy of Indian Politics

India, a strong country armed with excellent minds and technology. This colorful country is known for its 3 Cs cricket, curry and sorrowfully corruption. These days our country is drenched in the fervor of elections, the 16th lok sabha elections. Every Indian is expecting a positive change. A change that will give us a better status in world politics, better relations with other countries, better job opportunities and most importantly better roads and other infrastructure.
From last 6 months we are hearing the politicians roaring about what change they will bring to the nation if voted to power, but have we ever thought of what change has the ruling party brought to this nation? Is the poverty ratio decreasing or the BPL is decreasing, is the literacy rate increasing or students in school are dying of stale food, are the communal riots coming to end or Mujjafarnagar/Assam incidents are getting familiar, are we, the young Indians getting right opportunities to showcase our talents??And the sole answer to all these questions is No. This is very disheartening that the vision 2020 by our Ex. President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam is getting blurred in this quest of coming to the power. But do these parties really have the political willingness to develop the nation, the common man of the nation.
That is why this time the Indian citizen is quite conscious and is voting with enthusiasm. This was the saturation point for the people who were the blind spectators of insurgency, lawlessness and savage treatment to women .A society is said to be sophisticated only when its lower classes are treated with respect and are allowed to progress equally and for me this is the real meaning of democracy. What we really need to see after these elections is that the new formed government is for the people and not for the party and their allies. And if this does not happen then we really will have to look into ourselves, because we will be responsible for selling our future in wrong hands for sake of money and fear.

So folks I guess its the right juncture to turn the C for corruption into C for CHANGE. What we need to do is to just think of our country before ourselves.Get to know our candidate, read about his/her work and his/her interest for the nation from various sources as :-
      http://myneta.info/
      http://www.netapedia.in/
      http://votesmart.org/
Discuss about the problems of the constituency, compare manifestos of different political parties and then vote.

Let's be vigilant and be the change we want to see.......

Love happens...

Many times love is considered as a lovy dovy thing by we, young folks...or may be a random thing that can make or break you .I just thought of writing this because few days back  I read a para about love being stupid and ruining  the life but then a brief discussion with few of my friends made me think in a broader way.
That discussion opened many horizons of love for me, love can be anything that gives you an eternal bliss, it can even be a caring  friend, random gossiping with friends, few lovely moments spent with parents and siblings ,an evening spent alone in rediscovering ourselves  or even helping an unknown person without expecting any damn thing.
Love is not just about two romantically involved love birds. Of course this is one of the forms of love but this alone cannot define love. In our social circles we are always in search of affection from a person or so, but if we just peek into ourselves we'll get that we ourselves are the biggest source of love. If even at once we selflessly try to shower love on people we'll experience an immense feeling of fulfillment  and satisfaction, and that feeling will be of love that would never hurt you.
So forgive people once you fought with, remove all the grudges. Just give it a chance, because it may happen that if you tried breaking a rock and it breaks at its 100th trial, doesn't mean the earlier 99 were in vain. Who knows it will be the ultimate one? Love the person with his qualities and accept him with his shortcomings because a segment of his nature does not define him completely .Every person is not always same...

And then you will no longer search for love, it will just happen...
                                                                                    happen to last forever ....;)

Life: A journey with no destination....

In  our life we often come across the situations where we try to analyze them  and act according to it. But sometimes it happens so, that we try to do good and we get an exactly opposite result. And then there is questioning phase where we try to find the answers of many questions. What do we expect from ourselves? What do others expect from us? And  then these questions lead us to a journey to find the answers. A journey which does not have a destination. A journey is  which more like an expedition. A  journey where we come across many facets of ourselves, friends, people- some good some bad ,some happy some sad. This is the journey which unwinds the strings of the game called life.
This journey is actually a quest of endurance. It is a competition where we have to compete with ourselves  and then with the world and prove that we are not one amongst the crowd but the one who is responsible for it. This is that competition where we explore ourselves, explore the people and the world around us. This the world where we belong ,where we have grown from.
An exploration  of this kind takes us deeper and deeper and again new questions are born, with new answers to find. And this vicious circle goes on filling the spaces and creating many new, in this expedition called life.

"We need to believe the impossible and remove the improbable."
